Brokered Support ComPack

A brokered support ComPack includes six weeks of support with domestic assistance, meal preparation, personal care, shopping support and transport.

In Home Respite

In Home Respite offers the carer a break from caring for a family member or friend. A Staff member or volunteer can support the care recipient while the carer has a break from their caring role. Tasks can include meal preparation, toileting, reading to the client, socialisation and outings e.g. going out for coffee.

The carer will need to provide a support plan for the time they are absent and an assessment through My Aged Care is required.

If carers require additional support they can contact the Carer Gateway on 1800 422 737 to find out more.

Equipment Hire

Gilgandra Community Care Centre hires out a variety of equipment you may need for short periods. Items we have available include; wheelie walkers, wheelchairs, shower chairs and stools, bath handles, toilet frames, and chair raises.

Hire fees are very reasonable and calculated on a weekly basis.

Our Community Care vehicles may also be hired for a day on an occasional basis (not regular hires) if available.
